Jailbreaking Is Not A Crime
I have devices that I JailBreak (or "root them") to allow capabilities to be utilized which either software have not been written to do yet or manufactures and commercial software developers have restricted the use of a particular function.
This is a very touchy subject and my goal is NOT to argue whether its legal or not. My goal with this post is to round up some troops to help me and others to renew an exemption (otherwise it will expire) that was enacted in 2010 by the Copyright Office which said that, "Jailbreaking smartphones doesn�t violate the DMCA."
